We have been in Hong Kong for two days, staying in a 28th floor apartment on Hong Kong Island (see right). It was a bit of a shock arriving into 20 degrees after the mid-thirties heat of Thailand. Not much of a view from the apartment other than other high rise blocks. It looks better at night.

Yesterday we got the Star Ferry across to the mainland which afforded great views back to Hong Kong Island.

Today, after much queuing, we rode the Peak Tram up to The Peak. A massive building at the top with numerous shops and eateries, plus a Madame Tussauds and the inevitable 7-Eleven store. But you could get out to admire the views.

Wow! What a change. I hope you soon acclimatise to the change of temperature.
Wonderful photos, particularly the ones from the mainland and top of The Peak. Love and hugs from both of us.
I read with great interest part 2 of your time at the Wildlife sanctuary. It was sad to read some of awful circumstances that had led the animals to be there. Thank goodness for the dedication of the sanctuary, and all the work of the volunteers. I did chuckle at the image of Paul playing tug of war with his hat!!
The photos of Hong Kong look amazing, and a sharp contrast to your recent stop. I hope you continue to have a wonderful time xxx
